Terms of service

Last updated: [PUBLICATION DATE]

Welcome to Compás. These terms explain how you may use our website and what happens when you buy our clothing and accessories. Please read them alongside the product information and our Returns & Refunds page before placing an order.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

1. Who we are

Compás is a trading name of [EXACT REGISTERED COMPANY NAME], registered in [PLACE OF REGISTRATION]. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company.

Company number: [COMPANY NUMBER]
Registered office: [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]
Business and correspondence address: [BUSINESS ADDRESS, IF DIFFERENT]
Email: info@1compas.co.uk
Website: [WEBSITE URL]
VAT number: [INSERT IF REGISTERED; OTHERWISE REMOVE THIS LINE]

Our shop is hosted by Shopify. Our clothing and accessories are produced and dispatched by Printful. Your purchase contract is with us, and Compás remains your point of contact for orders, cancellations and product problems.

2. Website and app

These terms cover our website and physical products. The website also provides links to download the Compás training app. App use and any app purchases are governed by the separate terms supplied for that service: [APP TERMS LINK]. App data is explained in the app privacy notice.

You must use our website lawfully. Do not interfere with its security, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access, impersonate someone else or place fraudulent orders. We may take reasonable action to protect the website and customers. This does not remove rights relating to existing purchases.

3. Products, sizing and availability

We aim to describe every product accurately. Please check the size guide, measurements, materials and care instructions before ordering.

Some images are digital mockups. Screen settings and production methods can result in minor differences in appearance. This does not affect your right to receive goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

Our products are made or printed after you order. We currently offer standard Compás designs rather than customer-personalised products. Made-to-order production does not, by itself, remove your cancellation rights.

Product ranges, prices and availability may change for future orders. An accepted order is not changed retrospectively without your agreement or another lawful basis.

4. Ordering and payment

Review your basket, sizes, quantities, contact details, delivery address and total price before completing checkout. You can correct errors before submitting your order. You must be legally capable of entering into the purchase contract and authorised to use your chosen payment method.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include applicable taxes. Delivery charges and any other applicable charges are shown before you pay. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.

When you place an order, you submit an offer to buy and authorise the stated payment. We accept your order when we send your order-confirmation email. That email forms the purchase contract. Please retain it and a copy of these terms.

If we cannot accept your order, we will tell you and refund any payment taken. If we identify a pricing or product-description error before acceptance, we will explain it and let you choose whether to proceed on the corrected basis or cancel. We will not automatically charge a higher price.

The contract language is English. Offer-specific conditions will be provided before purchase. Sale items have the same statutory rights as full-price items.

5. Order details and changes

Provide accurate, complete contact and delivery information. If something is wrong, email us as soon as possible. We will try to help, but a requested size, address or other order amendment may not be possible once production or dispatch has started.

This practical limit on amending an order does not remove any statutory cancellation right. If we cannot amend the order, you may still cancel and return it under the applicable rules.

If an incorrect address supplied by you leads to extra delivery costs, we will explain any proposed redelivery charge before you agree to it. This does not exclude responsibility for errors made by us or our fulfilment partners.

6. Production, shipping and delivery

We deliver to the United Kingdom, subject to the supported delivery locations shown at checkout. Any product or postcode restrictions will be made clear before purchase.

Printful produces, packs and dispatches our products. Shipping charges are calculated using the delivery rates configured for our Printful-fulfilled products and are displayed at checkout.

Estimated production time: [CONFIRMED PRODUCTION ESTIMATE]
Estimated delivery time after dispatch: [CONFIRMED UK TRANSIT ESTIMATE]

Product-specific estimates and any different agreed delivery period will be provided before purchase. Production time is separate from transit time. Orders containing several products may arrive in more than one parcel.

We will deliver within an agreed delivery period or, if no period has been agreed, without undue delay and within 30 days of acceptance. If delivery is delayed, we will explain what is happening. Your rights to set an appropriate further delivery deadline or cancel where the law permits remain in place, including where an essential agreed deadline is missed.

Unless you independently appoint a carrier we have not offered, the goods remain our responsibility until you or your nominated recipient takes physical possession. Contact us if a parcel is missing, damaged or delivered incorrectly.

7. Cancelling and returning an order

For products covered by the statutory cancellation right, you can cancel from the time you place your order until 14 days after the day you or your nominated recipient receives it. Where goods from one order arrive separately, the period runs from receipt of the last item.

Tell us clearly that you wish to cancel by emailing info@1compas.co.uk or writing to our correspondence address. You do not have to give a reason or use a particular form. Our Returns & Refunds page includes a model cancellation form.

Return the goods without undue delay and within 14 days after telling us you are cancelling, to:

[CONFIRMED AUTHORISED RETURNS ADDRESS]

You pay the direct return-postage costs for a change-of-mind return, including where you selected the wrong size. Please keep proof of postage. No cancellation or restocking fee applies.

You may inspect and try on goods as you reasonably would in a shop. We may reduce a refund to reflect a loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Missing original packaging or tags does not automatically remove a statutory cancellation right.

We do not offer direct exchanges for change-of-mind size or colour changes. Return the original item under this policy and place a new order for the item you want. This does not restrict replacement remedies for faulty or incorrect goods.

8. Cancellation refunds

When you cancel an entire order under the statutory cancellation right, we refund the product price and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. We do not have to refund the additional cost of upgraded delivery. For a partial return, we refund the returned products and any delivery amount that must legally be refunded.

We refund without undue delay. Unless we have offered to collect the goods, we may withhold the refund until we receive them or evidence that you sent them back, whichever happens first. We then refund within 14 days of that event. Where no goods were supplied, we refund within 14 days after receiving your cancellation notice.

Refunds go to the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. We do not charge a refund fee or require you to accept store credit. Where the law extends a deadline because it ends on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, that extension applies.

9. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods

We have a legal duty to supply goods that conform to the contract, including being of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

If your order is faulty, damaged, misprinted or incorrect, email info@1compas.co.uk with your order details and a description. Photographs can help us investigate with Printful. If you cannot provide them, contact us so we can arrange another way to assess the problem.

You normally have a short-term right to reject non-conforming goods for a refund within 30 days of delivery. After that, repair or replacement and, in appropriate circumstances, a price reduction or refund may be available.

We pay reasonable return costs for faulty or incorrect goods. Contact us for arrangements before sending a faulty item; a physical return may not always be necessary. Printful's internal claim rules do not shorten your rights against Compás. The change-of-mind deadline does not limit faulty-goods claims.

Further instructions are on our Returns & Refunds page.

10. Accounts and personal information

If you use a shop account, keep your login details secure and let us know if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not send us full card details by email.

Our Privacy Policy explains how the shop uses personal information, including sharing details with Shopify, Printful and payment and delivery providers. It also explains cookies and your privacy choices. Accepting these terms does not give consent to marketing or optional tracking.

11. Content, intellectual property and external links

The Compás name, logos, designs and website content belong to us or the relevant rights holders. You may browse, shop and save information for your personal use and purchase records. Other commercial copying or use requires permission unless the law permits it.

If you submit a product review for publication, you retain ownership and allow us to display it with the public name you provide on our shop and the review service used to collect it. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and must not include unlawful material, another person's private information or infringing content. We may moderate on these grounds, but will not change a review's meaning or remove it simply because it is negative.

Links to third-party websites, app stores or connected services may have their own terms and privacy information. Linking does not remove our responsibility for our own products, statements or contracted fulfilment services.

12. Availability and our responsibility

Maintenance, technical problems or events outside our reasonable control can temporarily affect the website. If a problem affects an accepted order, we will contact you and deal with it in accordance with your legal rights.

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

13. Complaints, changes and governing law

For questions or complaints, email info@1compas.co.uk or write to our correspondence address. Include your order reference if available, what happened and the outcome you are seeking. We will investigate and keep you informed.

We may update these terms for future purchases. The version supplied when you placed your order applies to that order. Website changes do not retrospectively alter your contract.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues so far as legally possible. A delay in enforcing a right does not by itself waive it. Nothing in these terms removes rights concerning statements or representations protected by law.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You retain mandatory consumer protections applicable where you live. Consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their home courts. Nothing removes a mandatory right to use another court.
